Stephen Kinsella, BA, MA

Life rarely moves in a straight line. Most of us experience twists, turns, and challenges along the way, and while we often have ways of coping, there are times when obstacles like anxiety or depression can leave us feeling stuck.

We can find ourselves at a crossroads, unsure of the next step or how to move forward.

With the support of Balance Within Therapy, you don’t have to navigate that journey alone.

I completed my BA (Hons) in Psychology at Dublin Business School in 2012, followed by an MA in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at ICHAS, Limerick in 2015.

I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist for many years and am currently a fully accredited member of the APCP. Throughout my career, I have provided counselling and psychotherapy services across a range of organisations, including SOSAD in Drogheda and Navan, as well as previously working with the ISPCC.

I have also worked closely with St Michael’s House and the Green Street Unit in Dublin, supporting individuals across diverse therapeutic settings.

Before studying psychology and therapy, I worked across a variety of roles and sectors, including security, construction, and agriculture. These experiences have shaped my perspective and allow me to connect with people from all walks of life with understanding and empathy.

At Balance Within, we believe your mental health deserves care and attention. As mentioned earlier, life can feel like a long road with unexpected turns, and sometimes the most important thing you can do is pause and take a breath.

And at times, having someone walk alongside you on that journey can make all the difference.
